以明尼苏达州的儿童冰上曲棍球运动为主题。片中唯一的知名演员艾米里欧．埃斯特维兹饰演心高气傲的律师戈登庞贝，他在为社区服务的法院判决下，被迫担任儿童冰上曲棍球队的教练。他本来不以为然，但在训练孩子们的过程中他学到了改过自新，而且也为他们的巨鸭队争取到胜利。本片的剧情虽不免公式化，但剧本充满感情和幽默感，导演史蒂芬．赫瑞克也拍得灵活流畅，使它成为一部娱乐性颇高的家庭娱乐片，在欢笑中发挥了励志色彩。。A pilots pregnant wife is killed by a band of thugs who break into their home.
