本作改编自岩井圭也小说《最后的鉴定人》《科搜研之砦》，讲述孤僻的怪才鉴定人与怪咖研究员通过科学手段破解疑难案件。藤木直人饰演前科搜研王牌、拥有顶尖鉴定技术的主人公土门诚，白石麻衣出演在土门鉴定所工作的心理学专家高仓柊子。两人从案件痕迹中抽丝剥茧，以科学利刃刺穿真相。。It’s the late 1990s, and Granada indie music group Los Planetas is about to record their third album.
