石青村的村长王村长给女儿小雅安排相亲。经历了相亲后，小雅忍无可忍，和母亲摊牌，表示自己和同村的韩季灵已经恋爱三年。母亲勃然大怒，坚决反对两人，小雅摔门而出。 盗墓贼孟云飞和张洪林来到石青村盗墓，一夜未果，决定到村里收点古董。两人来到村里吃饭，认识了村里饭店的老板薛卫国，于是向薛卫国打听村里的宝物，得知王村长家有一块古玉后，两人前往村长家骗玉。 小雅和韩季灵见面，痛诉了一上午的遭遇并和韩季灵约定好明早私奔，韩季灵半信半疑的答应了，而他们的对话，被默默喜欢小雅的薛卫国听了个真切，薛卫国决定阻止他们。 韩季灵和小雅，两个盗墓贼，村民，三伙人在村里演出了一场闹剧。最后，韩季灵用智慧战胜了盗墓贼，保护了村子。。三百年来，一把红色小提琴在数个国家流浪，与数人的命运紧紧相牵。仿佛有某种魔咒，让人们为这把琴疯狂着迷。 小提琴的制造者，是十七世纪意大利的乐器大师（卡路•施齐Carlo Cecchi 饰 ）。妻儿死去，难抑悲伤的他，把爱人的血涂在小提琴上，从此琴就辗转流落到了奥地利。一个练琴的小男孩为了这把琴痴迷，直至倒落在舞台上。 小提琴的流浪从未间断，从盗墓者，到吉普赛人，到为之自杀的作曲家波普，再到文革期间上海的一位音乐老师。这期间，无论拥有者是否明白小提琴真正价值，都逃不出它的魔力。终于，有鉴别专家知道了小提琴的秘密——它的外壳染着三个世纪前一位大师的血和泪。。Vishal (Ajay Devgan), a stock analyst, and his wife Swati (Urmila Matondkar). The two are in search for a flat in Mumbai. Vishal finds the perfect place on the 12th floor of a high-rise apartment building. However, the apartment has a horrifying past. The previous occupant of the flat, a young woman had killed her child and jumped from the balcony and died. Swati learns about this incident shortly after moving in and becomes oddly fixated with the story. Then, a series of inexplicable experiences drive Swati to near madness. Vishal becomes helpless and convinced his wife has developed some sort of psychological disorder. He consults a psychiatrist, Dr. Rajan (Victor Banerjee). The couple's maid (Seema Biswas) believes Swati to be possessed, and calls in an exorcist (Rekha). Meanwhile, other seemingly unrelated events take place around the building. The watchman (Sabeer Masani) is being terrorized, one of the residents Sanjay (Fardeen Khan) is behaving erratically, and a murder occurs. Inspector Liaqat Quereshi (Nana Patekar) is sent to investigate the murder at the building. All the while, neither the psychiatrist nor the exorcist makes much progress with Swat。
