故事发生在民国初年。数年前，苏南扇庄“孤烟堂”突遭满门抄斩，只有林家长女含雪幸免于难，流落到“多宝阁”扇主徐宝堂家，徐对含雪宠爱有加，这使妻子和女儿徐茹蔓心生妒恨。十五年后，长大成人的含雪与茹蔓同时爱上叶知秋，看出端倪的徐妻从中作梗，莫名被刺的含雪被日本教官井上健带入了皇宫。在宫中，巧于心计的含雪将宫藏历代名扇的制作工艺烂记于心，不料屡遭徐宝堂设计陷害，就在此时，含雪结识了井上健之子井上空月，并由开始的欢喜冤家转变为生死恋人。含雪因行刺张勋被押入死牢，神秘乞婆突然现身，向她述说了十五年前林家遭满门抄斩的真相……。The series tells the story of an extended family and four young people who are drawn into the world of ska and two-tone music, which exploded from the grassroots of Coventry and Birmingham in the late 70s and early 80s, uniting black, white, and Asian youths.
