故事发生在二十世纪三十年代。善良开朗、个性突出的颜小蛮为洗弟妹冤仇来到戴家当丫鬟，同时被两个男人爱上，他们是戴府的大少爷戴问天和二少爷戴君涛，这让小蛮陷入两难境地。问天沉稳老成，他为小蛮冤情四处奔波，小蛮很是感激。君涛对小蛮用情更深，他无时无刻保护小蛮在感情上不受伤害，即使小蛮故意撒泼，他也一笑了之。因经常顶撞主人，小蛮得罪了戴家的两位女主人方氏和袁氏，后来，方氏罗织罪名将小蛮打入大牢。为救小蛮出狱，君涛对父母谎称小蛮怀了自己的孩子，出狱后小蛮得知君涛的所言毁了自己的名声不依不饶.....。A young woman (Rosemary Wilcox) is haunted by pop-Freudian dreams of her recently murdered psychologist (and lover), so for some reason she goes to a resort where the psychologist liked to hang out and becomes involved with a gangster (Adolf Celli) and the strange female resort owner (Alida Valli). Soon more murders occur involving the other guests at the resort.。
