公元2458年，地球与火星引力环移民，为了火星稀土征收事件，在月球空域爆发战争。在双方均付出惨痛代价后，火星与地球终止一切交流，开启了短暂的和平。零战时代，除了火星的威胁外，由月球罪犯组成的宇宙海盗，日益猖獗。一百多年的和平在西元2588年终结。在月球城邦爆发新型流感H1Z1而束手无策时，隔绝已久的火星释出善意，派出医疗舰前往月球进行人道救援。没想到，此次虚假的援助，竟然是进攻的开始。月球城邦军节节败退，引力环接连失守。月球军凭借着月球机密兵器——凯能的力量，抵挡了宇宙海盗的侵略性攻击，成功守住疆土。虽牺牲重大但仍度过了被破城的危机。西元2589年，火星军无视停战协议卷土重来，对与地球的连合国协展开攻，月球军派出凯能部队支援地球军。战斗陷入白热化胶着状态，宇宙海盗、月球城邦以及地球被推向面临同归于尽的残酷战局。。Simone inherits a dilapidated farmhouse in France and makes her way there with her husband Eric and their two children.
