When the East-German authorities become suspicious, Thomas decides to try and flee to the West.。故事起始于2001年的山西大同，模特巧巧与出租车公司老板斌哥是一对恋人，斌哥每天在外面呼朋唤友，巧巧希望能够尽快进入婚姻。一次，斌哥在街头遭到竞争对手的袭击，巧巧为了保护斌哥街头开枪，被判刑五年。巧巧出狱以后，开始寻找斌哥以便重新开始，然而事情却发生了意想不到的变化。。八岁的太子因贪玩不慎从假山上摔下命悬一线，陈贵妃欲将其送往太医院，却在途中遭到太子生母萧皇后的刁难，污蔑陈贵妃车中藏了奸夫，不仅不让路，更是要将“奸夫”射死，无论陈贵妃如何解释，萧皇后仍一意孤行，当她发现死去的竟是自己亲儿子时，一切都晚了。
