20世纪60年代初，东北某省会城市，生活着几名无忧无虑却又为饥饿所折磨的少年，王小嵩、刘振兴、韩德宝、徐克调皮捣蛋，同进同退，每日惹出是非不断。高干家庭出身的张萌不满他们的举止，经常打小报告，文静贤淑的郝梅则默默地站在一旁，看少年们匆匆跑过灰色的童年时代。在此之后，各种运动此起彼伏，从不停歇，少年们在口号声中成长起来，他们响应领导人的号召上山下乡、返城，经历这改革开放的沧桑巨变。昔日的好友相聚离开，朝着不同的道路前进，品味着人生百味。在时代的大背景下，个体如此渺小，却迸发出别样的光彩…… 本片根据作家梁晓声的同名原著改编。。Somewhere in Myanmar is a forest rich in amber and controlled by the Kachin Independence Army (KIA). Most of its inhabitants work in a mine, digging the earth night and days in the hope of finding the precious ore that will get them out of poverty. But on top of the excruciating hardship of the work, they also have to fear an attack from the army.。
