陈南风的老婆商婉儿因为雨夜被人玷污，总是对陈南风疑神疑鬼，觉得陈南风嫌弃自己脏，对陈南风处处压榨，陈南风为了解脱，决定自己净身出户，可是没想到回家，却发现商婉儿被侵犯的事情另有隐情。。从农村来深圳在花店打工的阿龙朴实勤劳，花店老板娘对他非常满意。阿龙在给一公司送花时，因一念之差，进入员工外出买饭而空无一人的办公室，窃走陈莉的提包，内有相机、呼机、证件、现金等。陈莉因证件丢失，不能去香港联系业务，工作受到影响。信息台传呼小姐倪静得知后每天三次连续不断地向丢失的寻呼机传话，希望利用心理攻势帮陈莉要回失物。终于，阿龙良知回归，将提包送回，诚恳地道歉并送去鲜花。陈莉、倪静判断出是阿龙，便一同在花店等他回来。可阿龙因为在街上见义勇为，身负重伤，再也没能回到花店……。Nothing is more frightening, as the narrator points out, than a ‘time-rich nosy person’.
