I’d like adults to have fun watching it and to feel like children again for a while.”。抗日战争时期，新四军某部和敌人迂回作战，一度撤离常熟一带，留下18个伤病员，在阳澄湖畔的沙家浜镇养伤。反动武装忠义救国军的头子胡传魁、刁德一秉承日寇大佐黑田旨意，千方百计企图搜捕新四军伤病员。沙家浜镇的党支部书记阿庆嫂以开茶馆为名，实际上是党的地下联络员，当初胡传魁刚出道时，遇日军追杀，幸得阿庆嫂救他一命。阿庆嫂利用胡传魁、刁德一之间的矛盾，机智地与他们进行了斗争，并在党的领导和群众的协助下冲破险阻，终于使18个伤病员安全转移。。
