该剧改编自作家李娟同名散文集。生长在阿勒泰的汉族少女李文秀（周依然饰）一心在大城市中追求文学梦想，却屡屡碰壁被迫回到老家与开小卖部的母亲张凤侠（马伊琍饰）相依为命。在结识哈萨克少年巴太（于适饰）之后，文秀渐渐发现了当地之美。。The demonic forces in the haunted Long Island house escape through a mystical lamp which finds its way to a remote California mansion where the evil manipulates a little girl by manifesting itself in the form of her dead father.。
