soraの同名マンガをもとにした本作は、無気力でギャンブル中毒の“クズ教師”・灰葉仁（はいばじん）と成績優秀なネガティブ女子高生・落合扇言（おちあいみこと）の関係を軸に描かれるローテンションラブコメディ。失恋を苦に学校の屋上から飛び降りようとしていた扇言に、灰葉が「死ぬ前に俺と恋愛しない？」と言って自殺を思い止まらせたことから物語は展開していく。。A shipowner intends to scuttle his ship on its last voyage to get the insurance money. Charlie, a tramp in love with the owner's daughter, is grabbed by the captain and promises to help him shanghai some seamen. The daughter stows away to follow Charlie. Charlie assists in the galley and attempts to serve food during a gale.。
