1980年代末，北方偏僻山村。 女娃小花（齐如意 饰）先后失去父母、奶奶，成为孤儿，随后她虽被村长及某户人家收养，过得却是终日以泪洗面的屈辱日子，无奈，她逃离出生地上河村。来到芍药村附近时，小花不堪疲劳及饥饿昏倒在地，得路遇的村民相救。众村民虽可怜她这个野娃，却因怕加重原本 就沉重的生活担子，不愿将她领养。年迈的宝柱爹（田成仁 饰）是位善心老人，他怕本已奄奄一息的小花再有好歹，不顾宝柱（于伟杰 饰）及儿媳香草（郝洋 饰）反对，默默将她背回了家中，没有血缘关系的祖孙俩开始了相依为命的日子。香草因为不能生育，将小花视作眼中钉，但任她铁石心肠，也难不被一个异常懂事、善良的女娃的温情与眼泪渐渐融化。。讲述民国年间，风云人物蔡鄂将军和名妓小凤仙之间的爱情故事。。“What is a woman to do in the current dating climate?
