故事发生在美国费城，中心人物是一个凶杀调查组，他们面临的案件不是最近发生的，而是几年前甚至十几年以前的旧案。由于发生的时间久远，加之当事人已经难以寻找，各种犯罪证据几乎已经烟消云散，所以调查起来特别困难。这样的凶杀案，被形象地称为“冷案”(Cold Case)。 剧集的主角是“冷案”调查组中惟一的女探员莉莉·拉什，她凭着坚韧的性格，和队友一起寻找至今健在的当事人，抽丝剥茧地让尘年往事重新浮出水面。。In 1974, the Portuguese and their descendants fled Angola where nationalist groups gradually claimed their territory back. A tribal girl discovers love and death when her path crosses that of a Portuguese soldier. Then, a Portuguese squad is barracked inside a wall from which they will have to escape once the past comes out of the grave to claim its long-awaited justice.。
