年轻重案组督察何铁男（周文健 饰），凭着天生侦探头脑屡破奇案，在警界早已享负盛名。不久，铁男接受了Jacky（徐濠萦 饰）毛遂自荐，首天上任，她即遇上了一件匪夷所思的怪事—一只流浪狗前往警署报案。Jacky在好奇心驱使下，拉着铁男随小狗跑到荒山，于一密林内发现了一具钉在十字架上的恐怖男尸，没有证人，没有证物，只凭一只“证狗”，二人遂辗转追查出死者大D的住所，发现了种种迹象，显示大D的妻子阿莲及好友陈虎嫌疑最大。正当铁男的矛头指向莲与虎之际，在密林附近找到莲的尸首；案情越来越复杂，铁男立刻下令辑捕陈虎归案。翌日，十字架杀人事件又再次发生，受害者竟是陈虎，案情陷入一片迷惘当中，且涉嫌人物亦越来越多……。In a sleepy southern town, the Larkin family suffers a terrible tragedy.
